IFA@Bantwal | Beneath the Green Canopy | April 11, 2026 - May 2026 | Rani Abbakka Tulu Museum

“ಮರ ನೆಟ್ಟವನು ಹೋದ, ನೆರಳು ಉಳಿಯಿತು.”
“The one who planted the tree is gone. The shade remains.”
India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) and the Rani Abbakka Tulu Museum invite you to Beneath the Green Canopy: Cultural Heritage of Tuluva Life, an exhibition that traces the cycle of life of the Tulu community, from birth to death. On display are 10 objects that tell the story of Tulunadu—a cradle carved from sacred woods, a ladle scooped from a coconut shell, a blade tied to a rooster's leg. Each object carries a world inside it, stories of ritual, of livelihood, of a people deeply fluent in the language of the land around them. The coconut, nurturing and generous, threads through nearly every story.
Come and discover this life.
