Other work published by IFA includes:
Embroidering Futures: The repurposing of Kantha (2012)
In 2012, we published Embroidering Futures: The repurposing of kantha, documenting how kantha has travelled from humble homes where they were made and used as repurposed duvets and bed linen to shops and boutiques where they are sold as expensive works of art today. This book traces this journey of kantha from its origins to its current avatar, through the tales and recollections of collectors, inheritors, designers and producers of this unique piece of embroidered cloth.
This book was supported by Infosys Foundation.
Beyond the Proscenium: Reimagining the Space for Performance (2010)
In 2010, the IFA Theatre Infrastructure Cell published Beyond the Proscenium: Reimagining the Space for Performance, a collection of essays and interviews edited by Anmol Vellani, that underscore experimental perspectives on performance spaces and the emergence of unconventional artistic experiences. The publication includes interviews with contemporary dancer and choreographer Astad Deboo, theatre director Bansi Kaul, and essays by scholar Lokendra Arambam, theatre director Pushan Kripalani, and writer and editor Anjum Katyal.
This book was supported by Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust.
